I'll tell you what... I love my mother in law. I am really blessed. Josh and I surprised her with a visit in June and we had a great time laughing, eating, and talking like we always do. Her house is like heaven for anyone who likes to eat... like me. She's got everything and she'll cook you anything you want. I love how when we're over there we just sit around the table (or on her bed) a chat. I hope my home is always like that too.

Pics from the past month or so...

The 2009 Paschal High School ROTC Military Ball. Mr. Watt got invited to the Military Ball by a few of his students. We had a blast. I've never been to a Military Ball before and it was so fun. Very formal, lots of etiquette. Josh's students impressed me with their maturity, hard work, and commitment to ROTC. I loved being apart of this really special evening.
Stephawn, Liz, Chris and Josh.

One of Josh's students, Chris Sanchez.

Josh and Stephawn. Apparently Stephawn never had Josh as a teacher, but they met in the hall one day and became friends. Now Stephawn comes to visit Josh in his classroom just to say hi and hangout. Stephawn graduates this year and he plans to study broadcasting in college next year.

This is Richard. I met Richard last year when he was a freshman and had Josh as his math teacher. Richard is always so friendly and sweet, even though you can't tell in this pic since he's trying so hard to be tough and manly. He's one of my favorites. Very polite.

Josh and Liz. Liz graduates this year. She's such a lady.

This is Josh and his student Dora.

Monica and Dustin drove up from Houston for the weekend. He surprised her with a Westie for her birthday. This is Archie.

Our AWESOME friends from our bible study came over to our pool for a Cinco de Mayo party. We finished our Ecclesiastes study and then hung out by the pool.

We tried to save some money and groom Charlie ourselves. It's totally worth the $45.

Josh and Maggie taught together last year and she's become a friend to both of us. And boy does she know how to party! This was a huge bash to celebrate her horse's 8th birthday. She lives on the lake in Granbury, TX.

Pics from the past month or so...

Josh and I at a friends wedding

Bessie Ann and I

Josh and I went camping over spring break and we decided to bring Charlie. Here he is hiding behind the tree because he was afraid of the fire.

This is the couple many of you have heard about but never met... Barry and Julia Watts. They are the mentor couple in our young married group... and have become like family to us. We spent Easter Sunday with them and had a wonderful time. Julia is quite the hostess and Josh and I really enjoy her Southern hospitality. Here they are at a BBQ we just had with our bible study group.

Recommended Book

I am not yet done reading this book, but I already have to recommend it.

Each chapter displays a different real-life challenge and then shows how Jesus' work on the cross directly applies to that challenge. He breaks it down so easily and helps you to see what Jesus did for you. I love it.
If you think you don't have a "real-life challenge", some of the chapters include,
"I Am a 'Good' Christian", "My Daddy Is a Pastor", "Lust Is My God", and "He Raped Me".
If you don't know Jesus Christ as your savior, this book will show you what He did specifically to rescue you. If you do have a relationship with Jesus Christ, this will be a sweet reminder.

"This book is brutally honest about sin and suffering, and wonderfully hopeful as it points us to our true Savior"
Timothy S. Lane

Valentine's Day Wedding

What a great way to spend Valentines Day! I got all dressed up, enjoyed an amazing meal, danced a little, enjoyed my sexy husband in a suit, and was reminded how sweet marriage is. This wedding ceremony was a great reflection on what the Lord wants for marriage. I am so thankful to be married to my best friend and the most amazing man I've ever met. He's given me love I never believed I would have. Being his wife has been the best part of my life. For sure! This Valentines Day I was able to reflect on how incredible it is to be in a Godly marriage and how much I've been blessed. Thank you Lord for your perfect design.

I had a blast with the great bridesmaids... all 11 of them. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed our girl time. I wish they lived closer.
